Counselling
I offer therapy for adults (18+) on a weekly basis, for shorter or longer term work. Counselling sessions are 60 minutes long and are face-to-face in Blandford Forum, online or a hybrid of the two.
I am a member of the NCPS and have an Enhanced DBS check.
If you’d like to know more, feel free to get in touch through the contact form or email weswoodlandcounselling@outlook.com. I offer free 20-minute consultations, no strings attached.

What It Looks Like
Our work together is centred around your needs.
About You
You may have been thinking about counselling for a while but haven’t known where to start. Perhaps you feel stuck in the same patterns, repeating situations you’d rather move on from. You might be struggling with anxiety or panic attacks, feeling weighed down by depression, or finding it hard to cope with the effects of stress and burnout.
Some people come to me because of relationship problems or difficulties around self-esteem and confidence. Others are dealing with the impact of trauma, abuse, or addiction, and want a safe space to begin making sense of what has happened. You may be looking for support around men’s issues or LGBTQIA+ identity. Whatever has brought you here, you don’t have to carry it alone.
Therapy provides a confidential, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about what’s going on for you. Together we can explore your thoughts and feelings, process your experiences, and work out practical steps toward change.
Book yourself in for a free consultation to see how counselling could support you.
About Me
Clients sometimes ask what it’s actually like to sit with me. My hope is that you’ll feel the same trust and ease you might with a close friend, but with the professional boundaries that create a safe therapeutic environment. Alongside listening carefully, I offer gentle reflections and connections, weaving together parts of your story so you can see patterns and make sense of them in new ways.
Everyone comes to therapy differently, so I adapt to what you need. Some people prefer to simply talk and be heard; others want me to ask questions and keep the conversation flowing; and some value space and silence to process their thoughts.
While counselling can be challenging (since its nature is to look at difficult parts in your life), I also believe it’s important to notice and celebrate progress. Therapy can hold both the turbulence and the joy: the moments of relief, the sense of empowerment, and the feeling of life “finally going well.”
